Halloween Treats #3

Here it is...all of the projects that we will be making next Friday (September 25) at my Halloween Treats class!! We will be making the Fancy Favor Box, the Criss Cross Box, one Petal Card Ghiradelli Candy Holder, and today's project...2 little Peanut Butter Cup witch hats. I saw this idea on SCS and knew I had to make them! They are made with the 3rd largest circle on the Coluzzle which is cut in half. I love when you can get 2 of anything from a single shape! The base is just a scalloped circle punched in the same color as the DSP. Again the Cast-A-Spell DSP was used...and no stamping! Talk about super easy for mass producing! These would be great little treats for your Trick or Treaters :)

Halloween Treats #2

Today I am sharing part two of my Halloween Treats class. These little guys were made using the Big Shot and seriously took 10 minutes to make both of them; therefore, this is a great project for mass producing. Both were made using the Cast-A-Spell DSP. The Frankenstein is from Batty for You and the tag is from Eat Drink and Be Scary. I do prefer the thicker Old Olive ribbon because it covers the little "hole" from the petal card better (see below), where with the thinner Pumpkin Pie ribbon, you do have to do a little finagling to get the knot in just the right place. The petal card will stay shut on it's own, however, the candy inside is just big enough to cause an opening.

Here is a view with the ribbon untied

And opened to reveal a yummy Ghiradelli chocolate! And the other side of the DSP is a fun surprise too!
Again, my class is September 25 and more details can be found on this post.

Halloween Treats #1

I couldn't wait to start prepping for my Halloween Treats class as this is my favorite holiday of the year! I will be sharing the projects with you over the next few days (if you get my newsletter, you already know what all of the projects are). The class will be held on Friday, September 25 from 6:00-8:00pm at my home and is $15--and all the candy is included! I know you're going to want to make all of these again to give out to teachers, co-workers, family, etc, so to sweeten the deal if you purchase a pack of the Cast-A-Spell DSP, I will knock $5 off! And if you bring a friend, you will be entered into a drawing for a free stamp set! RSVP by September 21.

The first box is a Criss Cross box and uses the Eat Drink and Be Scary Stamp set along with the DSP.

This second box uses the Fancy Favor die for the Big Shot along with the Batty for You stamp set and DSP.

May Technique Workshop Projects

These are the projects we will be making at my May 15th technique class. We will be learning how to make dahlia folded flower buds, how to rock and roll stamp, how to use rub-ons on a transparency card, and how to make the "sour cream" treat container. I am super excited about all of these projects! I had originally planned on using more rub-ons for these, but since I only had one person order them ahead of time (and then we found out they were on back order) I decided to only use them as accents so that I would have enough for everyone. As always, my favorite project is the treat container! Wait until you see how easy it is to make :)

May Scrapbook Workshop Projects

Here they are!!! I am super excited to show you how to make these albums at my workshop on May 8! The tall one is a 5 x 7 1/2 accordion album and the small one is a key chain album (more pictures below). They would be great Mother's Day gifts! :)

There are still spots available so let me know ASAP if you want to sign up! You can either bring pictures with you (I'll email you sizes once you sign up) or just create your layouts and add them later. Both of these were super easy to make and the hardest part was picking out what pictures I wanted to put in them!

Here is a preview of the projects we will be making this weekend at the Crazy for Cupcakes Workshop! There are two 4 1/4 x 5 1/2 cards, one gate fold card, and one treat bag. Enjoy!

April Class Date

I have set April 18 from 12:30-2:30pm as the date for my next Stampin' Up workshop. We will be making 3 cards along with a card box using the Crazy for Cupcakes set. I found a really cool technique to make "icing" using flour, salt, and water. I need to try it here in the next few days to make sure I can make it look as good as it did in the tutorial...you know how that goes! The cost will be $12 per person or $10 if you bring a friend! Check my Stampin' Up Demo Site for more details. http://renaewilson.stampinup.net

Other than that I've been busy working on some invitations. I just finished an order for a July wedding and have started on my next one which is an October wedding. Just waiting to hear back from the bride with what she thinks of the sample I made her. I also have an order for 15 Spongebob Squarepants 2nd Birthday Invitations. I'm super excited about those. I have the idea of how I want them to look, just haven't made a sample yet.

Egg-cellent Easter Workshop

I held my first workshop as a Stampin' Up demo on Friday and it went so well! There were 6 people here (even though my mom didn't participate...she decided to be the photographer! lol). We made 2 cards and 1 treat pouch using the Sale-A-Bration paper and the Egg-cellent Easter set from the Occasion's Mini.

I displayed these projects to use as a door prize. They were created using my Big Shot as well as Sale-A-Bration paper and Congrats stamp set (although, the flowers were from the Flower Fancy set). Congrats to Jen who won them!

Everyone also got a little Thank You note made by stamping onto notebook paper. I thought they turned out really cute!

Stamps: Lots of Thoughts
Paper: Natural Ivory and Bashful Blue Cardstock, Notebook Paper
Ink: Chocolate Chip
Accessories: Bashful Blue Ribbon, Brads

1. Score 3 x 6 Natural Ivory cardstock at 3 inches to create a 3 x 3 card.
2. Take a scrap piece of Bashful Blue cardstock and tear it along the bottom. Run fingernail along other edges to create distressed look.
3. Stamp greeting on notebook paper near torn edge. Cut to size. Adhere to Bashful Blue so that there is some overhang.
4. Punch two holes using hole punch into Bashful Blue right below notebook paper. Attach brads.
5. Adhere Bashful Blue to card. Tie ribbon in a knot and adhere on corner of notebook paper.
